We are currently seeking a full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This role is essential in assisting the Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeper in maintaining an attractive and impeccably clean hotel environment that aligns with brand and company standards. The position offers a dynamic work schedule with shifts from 9am-5pm or 12pm-8pm, including weekday and weekend availability, ensuring flexibility and coverage across different operational hours. Additionally, this opportunity includes a valuable benefit of daily pay access, allowing employees to access up to 50% of their earned wages after every shift, promoting financial flexibility and immediate reward for their hard work.

The primary purpose of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to ensure that cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness standards are consistently met throughout the hotel. This includes oversight and management of multiple housekeeping departments such as room attendants, housemen, laundry, and lobby maintenance teams. The successful candidate will work closely with staff to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness in guest rooms, corridors, storage closets, and public areas. This role involves supervisory responsibilities such as inspecting work, coaching staff, and ensuring the efficient operation of the housekeeping department while controlling costs.

Key responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service by meeting and exceeding guest and team member expectations through professionalism and teamwork. The Housekeeping Supervisor will also provide value-added services by proactively addressing customer needs and maintaining communication with customers, co-workers, and management in a professional manner. Operational tasks involve ensuring room linens and towels are refreshed correctly, bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned, and common areas are maintained to Marriott's standards. The role requires conducting monthly inventory checks on cleaning supplies and sharing accountability for guest property management and maintenance issue reporting.

This position demands physical stamina and agility to perform various cleaning duties that require lifting, bending, crouching, and standing for long periods, as well as tolerating exposure to cleaning chemicals and dust. The Housekeeping Supervisor must exhibit excellent attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Prior supervisory experience in a hotel setting is preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are considered a plus, enhancing communication capabilities in this multicultural work environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in housekeeping or related field
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
  • Capability to stand for long periods, kneel, bend, crawl, squat, and crouch
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety and cleanliness standards

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Advanced knowledge of cleaning chemicals and housekeeping best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail with high levels of successful communication

  • Ability to motivate co-workers effectively

Job Duties

  • Ensure the standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness are maintained throughout the hotel and to manage the housekeeping department (room attendants, housemen, laundry, and lobby) efficiently to maintain standards and control cost
  • Ensures standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all guest rooms, corridors, and storage closets
  • Supervises, inspects, coaches, and works with housekeeping staff on the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, corridors, storage areas, and public areas to the highest standards
  • Ensures the upkeep of vacant rooms
  • Ensures that all room attendants’ carts and stock rooms are kept orderly
  • Conducts monthly inventory on supplies
  • Ensures guests property left behind is logged and stored in a secure location daily
  • Takes action on any maintenance issues in guest rooms to ensure hotels established quality standards and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Monitors working conditions, reports to management any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practice and procedures
