The Courtyard & Residence Inn by Marriott, located in the Brier Creek/RDU area of Raleigh, is a distinguished hospitality establishment that embodies the Marriott brand's commitment to excellence, comfort, and outstanding guest experiences. We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that our hotels maintain an attractive, clean, and welcoming atmosphere in line with Marriott brand and company standards. The Housekeeping Supervisor will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager and Executive Housekeeper, assisting in the efficient management of the housekeeping department, which includes room attendants, housemen, laundry, and lobby cleaning teams. The role requires flexibility to work shifts from 9 am to 5 pm or 12 pm to 8 pm on weekdays, with mandatory availability on weekends, reflecting the 24/7 nature of hotel operations.
The Housekeeping Supervisor will be instrumental in upholding high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness throughout the hotel. This includes supervision, inspection, and coaching of housekeeping staff to ensure guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and storage spaces meet the highest standards. The successful candidate will take proactive measures to remedy any maintenance issues, maintain inventory control, and ensure guest property is securely handled. Effective communication and teamwork are crucial to this role, as it involves close collaboration with other departments and a focus on delivering exceptional guest satisfaction.
This role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of housekeeping experience, preferably within the hotel industry, who possess advanced knowledge of cleaning chemicals and best practices. Strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, multitasking skills, and the capacity to work under pressure are essential. Previous supervisory experience and bilingual English/Spanish skills are advantageous. Physical demands include the ability to lift, push, pull, and carry weights up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals. Job Duties

- ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all guest rooms, corridors, and storage closets
- supervise, inspect, coach, and work with housekeeping staff on the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, corridors, storage areas, and public areas to the highest standards
- ensure the upkeep of vacant rooms
- ensure that all room attendants’ carts and stock rooms are kept orderly
- conduct monthly inventory on supplies
- ensure guests property left behind is logged and stored in a secure location daily
- take action on any maintenance issues in guest rooms to ensure hotels established quality standards and ensure guest satisfaction
- monitor working conditions, report to management any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practice and procedures
