This position is for a Housekeeper at a TBCC property, where the primary responsibility is to uphold pristine cleanliness and comfort standards in assigned guest rooms. This role is essential to the overall guest experience, requiring meticulous attention to detail and dedication to excellence in room preparation and maintenance. The role is classified as hourly employment with compensation ranging from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour, reflecting the value TBCC places on high-quality service and operational efficiency.
As a housekeeper, the employee will ensure that all assigned rooms are spotlessly clean, neat, and fully stocked with necessary amenities to enhance guest satisfaction. The work involves adhering closely to the rigorous Renaissance ClubSport (RCS) standards, which prescribe exact procedures for cleaning and room readiness. Housekeepers will enter guest rooms with professional courtesy, ensuring to knock and announce themselves, while respecting guest privacy and preferences. Key responsibilities include changing linens, cleaning bathrooms in detail, dusting and vacuuming, checking and maintaining electrical appliances, and restocking items as needed.
Additionally, the housekeeper plays a critical role in maintaining hotel security by reporting any suspicious activity or occurrences to management. The job also requires cooperation with front desk operations by reporting vacant ready rooms promptly and supporting general corridor cleanliness. Housekeepers contribute to the smooth operation of the hotel by properly using and caring for cleaning equipment and by following all applicable safety guidelines issued by Renaissance ClubSport and OSHA.
This role demands physical capabilities like lifting up to 40 pounds, standing for prolonged periods, and maneuvering cleaning equipment efficiently. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to following safety procedures
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and weekends if required

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred

Job Duties
- Load and store carts according to RCS standards and pick up keys
- Clean each assigned guest room according to exact RCS standards
- Enter each guest room by knocking on the door and saying "Housekeeping"
- accommodate guest wishes regarding cleaning timing
- Pick up all trash and report any missing hotel property items
- Change linens and make bed properly
- Clean bathroom including shower curtain, walls, mirror, tub, toilet and floor
- Properly place standard items in the bathroom area
- Dust room items, vacuum carpet, clean inside nightstand and dresser drawers, clean and check under bed and closet
- Check all electrical appliances for proper working
- Ensure all room amenities are placed in proper locations
- Use and store housekeeping equipment properly and carefully
- Report broken equipment or appliances to Housekeeping Manager
- Follow procedures for turning in guests' personal items found after check-out
- Report vacant ready rooms to Front Desk upon completion
- Restock housekeeping cart for next day
- Maintain guest room corridors by picking up trash and removing room service trays
- Assist hotel security by reporting unusual occurrences or suspicious persons
- Follow all Renaissance ClubSport and OSHA safety guidelines
- Be warmly hospitable and available to help guests
- Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper
