The role of the Hotel Housekeeper or Room Attendant at Arbor Lodging is central to upholding the company’s commitment to guest satisfaction and quality service. This position is responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms to ensure they are inviting, spotless, and comfortable, directly contributing to the overall guest experience and hotel reputation. The person in this role will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in public areas such as hallways, handling guest inquiries courteously and efficiently, and assisting with the delivery and retrieval of guest items on loan.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping desired
  • Secondary school diploma preferred
  • Willingness to work independently and in a team
  • Professional demeanor
  • Basic communication skills for guest interaction

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare rooms for cleaning
  • Make beds
  • Dust rooms and furniture
  • Replenish guestroom and bathroom supplies
  • Clean the bathroom
  • Clean the closet
  • Vacuum and rack the carpet
  • Check and secure the rooms
  • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests such as irons and ironing boards
  • Ensure public areas, such as hallways, are cleaned and orderly
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk, sit, or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Manage guest calls, requests, and complaints in the area assigned to them
  • Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time
