Delaware North Gaming is currently seeking full-time Housekeepers to join their team at Mardi Gras Casino. This role is instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and high standards of the facility to enhance the overall guest experience. Housekeepers play a vital part in upholding the company’s culture of excellence by ensuring that all public areas, guest rooms, restrooms, and work areas are consistently clean, sanitized, and organized.
This position offers a fast-paced work environment ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on tasks and interaction with guests, supporting the hospitality excellence Delaware North is known for. The hourly pay for this position is $15.15. The Housekeeper role involves responsibilities such as thorough cleaning and sanitizing of all designated areas, replenishing supplies, waste removal, conducting routine inspections to maintain cleanliness standards, assisting guests, reporting maintenance issues, and managing lost and found items. The role requires the ability to perform physical duties including frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. Candidates with limited or no prior experience are encouraged to apply, although previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience is preferred. Proficiency with cleaning equipment and ability to work quickly under pressure while following instructions is essential.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness of rooms and surfaces
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Limited to no experience required
- previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred
- working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures
- ability to work quickly under pressure and follow instructions
- ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations
Job Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize public areas, rooms, and restrooms
- empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal area
- replenish supplies
- conduct walk-a-rounds of assigned areas to ensure the facility meets housekeeping standards
- ensure all linen rooms and work areas are neat, clean, and organized
- interact with and assist guests on occasion while cleaning guest and meeting rooms
- report maintenance repair problems to supervisor
- ensure all lost and found items are turned in and logged daily
