As a Housekeeper at Sandpiper Hospitality, you will be the backbone of guest comfort and the champion of cleanliness, playing a pivotal role in ensuring that every area within the hotel meets and exceeds rigorous hygiene and presentation standards. This is a hands-on role requiring physical stamina, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to creating a spotless, welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. Your responsibilities will range from cleaning guestrooms, lobbies, corridors, and other public spaces to maintaining and replenishing supplies, managing waste, and caring for housekeeping equipment. In addition to these essential cleaning tasks, you will also contribute to the hotel's safety and security by adhering to policies and handling chemicals and materials responsibly. The role further includes participating in house laundry duties, such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and terry cloths, as well as assisting with the organization and upkeep of the housekeeping and commercial laundry areas.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Good communication skills
  • Must adhere to company safety and security policies
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain high cleaning standards
  • Reliable and punctual

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a physical role requiring stamina and attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Clean hotel areas including guestrooms, lobby, corridors, elevators, laundry facility, and stairways according to company standards and within required time frames
  • Replenish supplies such as bathroom necessities, drinking glasses, linen and terry in various areas such as guest rooms and restrooms
  • Transport trash and waste to the disposal area efficiently and hygienically
  • Stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment to ensure readiness for all tasks
  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner, providing a welcoming presence throughout the property
  • Strictly adhere to safety and security policies to ensure personal safety, the safety of guests and their belongings, and company property
  • Perform house laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing company linen and terry
  • Contribute to the cleaning and organizing of the House and Commercial Laundry areas
