The position of hotel housekeeper is vital in maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall ambiance of the hotel property. This role primarily focuses on performing an array of cleaning duties that adhere strictly to the Hilton hotel brand’s standards. Responsibilities include cleaning guest rooms and public areas efficiently and thoroughly, ensuring that all spaces meet or exceed cleanliness requirements. Duties involve making beds, replacing linens, washing linens, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, hallways, and vacuuming floors. Additionally, housekeepers will manage storage areas and carts, keeping them well-stocked, tidy, and ready for daily operations. The use of wheeled carts to transport linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies is a fundamental part of this job. Housekeepers also take responsibility for emptying wastebaskets and ensuring trash and waste are removed properly and promptly.

The job demands physical stamina and attention to detail as workers are required to sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors using various tools such as brooms, mops, and swiffers. The majority of shifts include weekends, reflecting the hospitality industry's needs for continuous operation and customer service. Alongside the physical tasks, housekeepers must deliver excellent customer service, handling guest requests and minor complaints with professionalism and courtesy. They are expected to create daily job lists, record serviced rooms meticulously, maintain equipment, and report shortages, damages, or security concerns.
