The role of the Housekeeper at Sandpiper Hospitality is pivotal to maintaining the cleanliness and comfort that guests and staff expect from our properties. Hired as a hands-on, physical position, the Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning assigned areas meticulously according to company standards, ensuring that every part of the hotel—from guestrooms to common areas—is hygienic, spotless, and inviting. This role is fundamentally about being the cleanliness champion and the backbone behind the guests' comfort. The housekeeper’s attention to detail and dedication directly influence guest satisfaction and reinforce the company’s core value to "Bring the Energy."

A Housekeeper’s daily responsibilities include a wide variety of cleaning tasks within a specific time frame, replenishing supplies like bathroom necessities and linens, managing waste efficiently, and maintaining housekeeping equipment. Beyond these duties, the Housekeeper actively contributes to safeguards by adhering to strict safety and security policies, ensuring a secure environment for guests, staff, and property. Additional responsibilities cover the handling of chemicals and materials safely to prevent accidents, performing house laundry tasks such as sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing textiles, and supporting facility organization and cleanliness, including laundry areas. This role requires a friendly and welcoming disposition, as Housekeepers are also expected to greet guests warmly and maintain a positive presence throughout the property.

Job Duties

  • clean hotel areas including guestrooms, lobby, corridors, elevators, laundry facility, and stairways according to company standards and within required time frames
  • replenish supplies such as bathroom necessities, drinking glasses, linen and terry in various areas such as guest rooms and restrooms
  • transport trash and waste to the disposal area efficiently and hygienically
  • stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment to ensure readiness for all tasks
  • always greet guests in a warm, friendly manner, providing a welcoming presence throughout the property
  • strictly adhere to safety and security policies to ensure personal safety, the safety of guests and their belongings, and company property
  • use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury, waste, unnecessary damage, or accidents
  • perform house laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing company linen and terry
  • contribute to the cleaning and organizing of the house and commercial laundry areas
