Joining Sandpiper Hospitality as a Housekeeper means becoming the backbone of guest comfort and the champion of cleanliness. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all guest rooms, public areas, and service facilities meet the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a spotless environment that promotes a positive and memorable experience for every guest. This position is hands-on and physically demanding, involving daily cleaning duties, supply replenishment, waste disposal, equipment maintenance, and guest interaction. It requires a meticulous eye for detail and a passionate commitment to creating a pristine setting.
In this role, you will clean various areas including guestrooms, lobbies, corridors, elevators, laundry facilities, and stairways, all within designated time frames and following company standards. Your attention to detail directly impacts guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of the hotel. You will also play a critical role in handling housekeeping equipment, maintaining cleanliness and order in housekeeping carts and ensuring that all necessary supplies such as bathroom necessities, linen, terry cloth, and drinking glasses are replenished regularly.
Beyond cleaning, the Housekeeper is tasked with waste management, ensuring all trash is removed hygienically, and maintaining safety by adhering strictly to all security and chemical handling policies. The role extends into supporting house laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and terry cloth to ensure availability and freshness. You will also assist with maintaining the housekeeping and commercial laundry areas in perfect order.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, bending, and lifting for prolonged periods
- Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
- Good interpersonal skills for guest interaction
- Commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage
- Ability to perform physical labor and stand for extended periods

Job Duties
- Clean hotel areas including guestrooms, lobby, corridors, elevators, laundry facility, and stairways according to company standards and within required time frames
- Replenish supplies such as bathroom necessities, drinking glasses, linen and terry in guest rooms and restrooms
- Transport trash and waste to the disposal area efficiently and hygienically
- Stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment
- Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner providing a welcoming presence
- Strictly adhere to safety and security policies to ensure the safety of guests, personal safety, and company property
- Use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely to avoid injury or damage
- Perform house laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing company linen and terry
- Contribute to cleaning and organizing the House and Commercial Laundry areas
