Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
  • Physical ability to perform frequent lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to dress code
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Job Qualifications

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset

Job Duties

  • Clean hotel guestrooms, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways
  • Sort, count, fold, mark, or carry hotel linens
  • Clean hotel according to franchise standards including making beds, dusting furniture, washing walls and woodwork, vacuuming and polishing floors, cleaning windows and door panels, emptying wastebaskets and ashtrays, cleaning carpets and upholstery, and cleaning bathrooms
  • Replenish supplies such as bathroom necessities, drinking glasses and writing supplies
  • Move furniture, hang drapes, and roll carpets to meet franchise requirements
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area
  • Replace light bulbs
  • Stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment
  • Greet guests in a warm, friendly manner
  • Ensure key control and security policies to maintain guest privacy and security
  • Use materials, chemicals and tools safely to avoid injury or waste
  • Communicate with maintenance department regarding room needs
