As a part-time Guest Services Representative, working two days a week from 7 am to 3 pm, you will play an essential role in the daily operations of the hotel front desk. This position requires a person who is not only attentive and courteous but also skilled in guest relations and adept at managing various administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include managing guest check-in and check-out processes, handling room reservations, and addressing any guest inquiries or special requests promptly and efficiently. Working closely under the guidance of the General Manager and Senior Guest Services Representative, you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of service quality, which directly impacts guest satisfaction and the hotel's reputation. Proficiency in the hotel's software systems and policies is essential, as is the ability to respond effectively to any guest concerns or complaints, sometimes even serving as the Manager-on-Duty in the absence of senior management.
This role additionally involves supporting other hotel associates, from assisting with room readiness to maintaining cleanliness in public areas, and occasionally participating in laundry duties and facility upkeep. A readiness to respond to emergency situations calmly and responsibly is vital, ensuring guest safety and adherence to property protocols.
The position offers a competitive hourly rate starting from $15.50, with a typical work schedule of approximately 16 hours per week. Job Requirements
- One year hospitality experience preferred
- Work authorization required
- Flexible schedule required including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, taste and smell
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and handle exposure to cleaning chemicals and adverse weather
- Must maintain professional appearance according to dress code
- Ability to respond to emergency situations promptly

Job Duties
- Organize, confirm, process and conduct all guest check-ins/check-outs, room reservations, requests, changes and cancellations in a friendly and responsive manner
- Secure payment, verify billing, verify customers' credit and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation
- Ensure that all service provided is consistently prompt and courteous and designed to meet high standards of quality to result in guest satisfaction and repeat business
- Keep current on hotel policies concerning room/sign rates, group and other discounts and special offerings
- Maintain proficiency in all location computer and software systems
- Issue room keys, identify and explain room features to guests
- Supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, hours of operation and local areas of interest
- Run reports of room availability/inventory management and guest accounts and post payments to guest folios
- Perform bookkeeping activities including running reports and posting payments to guest folios
- Respond to guest comments or complaints, referring customers to GM as necessary
- Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems
- Know the property's emergency procedures and respond to any/all emergency situations (police, fire, emergency responder, weather, building - electrical outage, water line breaks, etc.) in a timely manner
- Assist other associates in completing their respective duties, as necessary, to achieve guest ready rooms, public areas and outstanding customer service
- Clean and maintain lobby area, entrance doors, sidewalks, and emergency exit
- Work in laundry room area loading and unloading washers and dryers and folding linens
- Wear appropriate attire per the dress code
- Notify GM or Maintenance Support of any needed repairs
- May serve as Manager-on-Duty in GM and AGM absence
- May be asked to stay on site in the event of a catastrophe
- Other duties as assigned
