Our company is an established operator in the hospitality industry, managing a Dual Brand property combining Comfort and Quality Inn under the Choice Hotels umbrella. We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager for our select service Dual Brand property. This role is pivotal in overseeing all aspects of hotel operations to ensure an exceptional guest experience, maintain high service standards, and achieve strategic business objectives. The General Manager will lead and manage the hotel's day-to-day functions, orchestrating efforts across all departments to foster a seamless, guest-focused environment. This position demands strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a hands-on approach to operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies aimed at maximizing revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction. Core responsibilities include managing budgets, controlling expenditures, recruiting and training staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations as well as all legal standards. The General Manager will also oversee the enforcement of hotel policies and procedures, conduct regular inspections to uphold service quality, and build strong relationships with guests, suppliers, and hospitality stakeholders. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a General Manager in a hospitality environment preferably in select service hotels
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Knowledge of hotel management systems and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with Choice Hotels brand is a plus

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a General Manager in a hospitality environment preferably in select service hotels
  • Choice Hotels brand experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel management systems and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or a related field is preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel ensuring smooth workflow across all departments
  • Foster a guest-focused environment where excellent customer service is a priority
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize revenue profitability and guest satisfaction
  • Manage budgets and financial plans control expenditures and ensure cost-effective operations
  • Recruit train and supervise staff fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and all other relevant legal standards
  • Implement and maintain hotel policies and procedures to achieve operational and financial goals
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with department heads and staff to meet the hotel’s objectives
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property and services provided to ensure standards are being met
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests suppliers and other stakeholders in the hospitality sector
