Job Requirements
- minimum of 5 years experience in hotel or hospitality management
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and evenings
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- proficient with hotel management software and financial reporting tools
- knowledge of reservation systems and guest service standards
- ability to conduct sales calls and represent the hotel in the community
- detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- valid driver's license

- bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- proven experience in hotel management or similar leadership role
- strong strategic planning and operational management skills

- knowledge of revenue maximization techniques

Job Duties
- blend strategic thinking with tactical planning for long-term success
- communicate effectively with and through department heads
- relate to other business leaders through sales calls and community involvement
- meet with department heads to review daily activities and troubleshoot problems
- visit each department area and engage with employees
- work the breakfast bar and interact with guests for feedback and sales leads
- ensure breakfast presentation meets hotel standards
- tour property interiors and exteriors to inspect and ensure maintenance
- follow up on departmental action items
- review reservations and analyze room inventory and forecast
- prepare and review daily business reports
- implement revenue maximization strategies
- review and approve audit packs and deposits
- conduct personal sales calls Tuesday through Friday
- balance accounts receivables and manage billing
- review and sign front desk and security logs
- analyze labor costs against standards
- prepare or approve weekly payroll and compare to labor standards
- review preventive maintenance and special projects progress
- monitor housekeeping performance for quality and efficiency
- forecast occupancy and sales for 90-day period and adjust operations
- report new hires to State Directory of New Hires
- attend community meetings and activities
- review financial and revenue performance reports and guest satisfaction ratings
- prepare and evaluate sales and marketing plans
- review and schedule training actions
- conduct daily, weekly, and monthly management and staff meetings
- facilitate meetings on hotel improvement, team communication, and employee motivation
- hold monthly all-staff meetings to report on operations and progress toward goals
