Job Qualifications

  • Must have Marriott experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or two to four years related management or comparable experience strongly preferred
  • At least one year of housekeeping experience preferred
  • Familiarity with analyzing profit and loss statements and other financial data
  • Ability to understand company concepts, practices, guidelines and procedures related to guest service
  • Strong computer knowledge including intranet, property management systems, WORD and EXCEL
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history

Job Duties

  • Oversee the facility operations including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage
  • Foster a positive, cooperative work environment between staff and management
  • Directly supervise employees in all departments including interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, develop alternative solutions and make timely decisions using sound judgment
  • Coordinate capital projects within budget, on time and with minimal disruption to guests
  • Maximize customer service by attaining 80% or better on Franchise Guest Service Scores and promptly respond to guest complaints
  • Demonstrate clear and persuasive communication, both oral and written, in positive and negative situations
  • Exhibit teamwork by upholding organizational values, treating people with respect and promoting a harassment-free environment
  • Achieve minimum scoring standards on brand quality assurance inspections, inspect rooms and public areas daily for cleanliness and maintenance
  • Take initiative by meeting challenges resourcefully, delegating work, setting expectations and monitoring delegated activities
  • Manage employee relations effectively, ensure timely completion of orientation, training and performance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal labor postings and internal audit systems
  • Lead sales efforts to achieve occupancy, rate and RevPAR targets as outlined in property budget, accurately forecast occupancy changes based on market conditions
