Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Degree from a four-year college or university or extensive applicable experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a full-service property General Manager or extensive applicable experience
- Experience in all daily hotel operations including sales and marketing, financial management, rooms, housekeeping and maintenance
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and deadlines
- Effective communication skills including interfacing with others
- Ability to learn quickly and self-manage
- Flexibility to travel locally and nationally including overnight stays
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation

Job Duties
- Direct the development and execution of strategic sales, marketing and revenue management initiatives
- Participate in daily and weekly revenue strategy meetings
- Manage costs to achieve gross operating profit goals using checkbooks and financial resources
- Produce accurate and timely revenue and GOP projections and detailed forecasts
- Evaluate monthly financial statements and complete variance reports analyzing revenues and expenses
- Maintain proper internal controls environment
- Develop annual business plans including operating budget, sales and marketing plan and capital plan
- Oversee high volume food and beverage operations ensuring superior service and brand compliance
- Work with tenants to meet contractual obligations and maximize profitability
- Interact regularly with guests and team members to drive satisfaction and engagement scores
- Ensure property preventive maintenance and deep cleaning programs are executed and conduct regular property inspections
- Interview, hire, supervise, train and counsel department managers for effective operations
- Conduct visual inspections of the property and guestrooms to ensure maintenance and cleanliness
- Operate the property to pass brand quality assurance and regulatory inspections
- Manage human resources functions including recruiting, coaching, discipline and team member relations
- Comply with all life safety policies and labor laws including OSHA, EEOC and Wage and Hour
- Ensure company and brand required training is executed effectively
- Operate property in an energy-efficient manner
- Conduct daily standups, weekly staff meetings, bi-weekly manager one-on-ones, monthly GM roundtables and luncheons
- Maintain effective communication with guests, team members and community
- Adhere to company policies regarding service standards, personal appearance, grooming, attendance and safety
- Perform other duties as assigned to responsibly operate the hotel
