Participation in marketing initiatives is also expected, involving the anticipation of market trends and active involvement in national marketing efforts to maximize room revenue. The hotel manager will measure the success of marketing plans and yield management techniques, ensuring diverse revenue sources and a robust market presence. This role demands excellent leadership skills to create a productive, compliant, and positive workplace environment governed by lawful practices and consistent employment standards. It includes the responsibility to lead human resources initiatives, handle employee relations, facilitate communication, and manage grievances effectively.
In addition to operational leadership, the position includes direct management, training, and guidance of sales, catering, and revenue management teams. The role is fast-paced and requires flexibility, with hours that may vary including weekends based on business needs. Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in hotel operations management
- Ability to speak, read, and write the primary workplace language
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computational and computer skills
- Knowledge of accounting programs and budget analysis
- Compliance with local, state, and federal laws and employment regulations
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and to push or pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
- Capacity to work varied hours including weekends and holidays based on business needs
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and walking for extended periods
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 4 hours daily with frequent standing and walking
- Ability to operate office equipment like computers, printers, and multi-line phones
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Understanding of labor laws including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, and related statutes
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management or a related field

Job Duties
