Job Requirements

  • Hotel guest services experience preferred
  • Customer service experience required
  • Ability to reason and make appropriate decisions in response to guest concerns

  • Ability to sustain prolonged periods of standing and frequent walking
  • Capacity for frequent squatting, kneeling, bending, and stair climbing

  • Compliance with confidentiality policies.

Job Duties

  • Answers incoming telephone calls professionally, providing excellent customer service, responding to guest questions or concerns in a timely and courteous manner
  • Makes reservations or modifies reservations as needed
  • Follows hotel and brand standards related to guest interactions and reward programs
  • Coordinates check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, providing a positive experience for each guest
  • Maintains guest privacy and safety by not disclosing information to unauthorized parties
  • Documents guest or room information confidentially for future shifts
  • Assists sales team with pre-registration and blocking of rooms for groups
  • Adheres to proper credit, check cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures
  • Tracks room status to ensure guests are assigned to vacant, ready rooms
  • Shares accurate information regarding rooms, amenities, and hotel rules
  • Uses suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and other hotel services
  • Coordinates room status updates with housekeeping and maintenance departments
  • Processes mail, packages, and messages with care to provide accurate information promptly
  • Attends department meetings and completes shift checklists
  • Follows all safety and emergency procedures
  • Performs various other duties as assigned by supervisor.
