Job Description
Our company is a part of the Marriott family, a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry known for its commitment to excellent guest service and quality accommodations. Located in Tucumcari, we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming environment for both our guests and employees. As a cornerstone of the local hospitality sector, our hotel offers a range of comfortable rooms, modern amenities, and exceptional services designed to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable stay. We emphasize a workplace culture centered around teamwork, respect, and continuous growth, making us a preferred employer in the region. Joining our team means being part of a supportive company that values dedication and professionalism in delivering superior guest experiences.
The role of the hotel front desk agent is vital to our operations and directly influences our guests' experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. As a front desk agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for welcoming them warmly, managing room bookings, and handling inquiries about room rates, amenities, and special services. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously will contribute to smooth daily operations. This role requires a service-focused mindset, with a passion for assisting guests and resolving any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. Compensation for this position ranges from $13 to $14 per hour, reflecting the importance of the role and the value we place on quality service.
As a member of our guest services team, your duties will extend beyond just the reception desk. You will be involved in general bookkeeping to keep guest account information accurate and up-to-date, ensuring seamless billing and payment processes. You will coordinate with housekeeping to verify that guest rooms are prepared and meet our standards before check-in. Additionally, you will manage customer complaints tactfully, striving to turn any negative experiences into positive outcomes. The job demands excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle phone calls efficiently, and proficiency with reservation management systems and Microsoft Office. Experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in a front desk or similar customer service role, is highly preferred but not essential. We seek candidates who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and are genuinely passionate about providing outstanding customer service.
