The Hotel Front Desk Agent is an integral part of our team, serving as the first point of contact for guests upon their arrival. This role involves managing all aspects of guest accommodation from the moment of check-in to check-out, ensuring a seamless and pleasant experience. Responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, and providing detailed information about our rooms, rates, and amenities to help guests make informed choices about their stay. This position requires a friendly yet professional demeanor and the ability to respond promptly and effectively to guest inquiries or concerns. The Front Desk Agent also handles reservation confirmations, payment processing, and coordination with housekeeping to maintain room readiness. In addition to routine duties, this role involves upselling hotel facilities and personalized services, enhancing guests’ overall experience. This full-time or part-time position offers an hourly wage ranging from 9 to 10 dollars and requires working on-site at our hotel. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in hospitality, proficiency with hotel reservation software, and excellent communication skills. Overall, this role is vital in representing our hotel and delivering the exceptional guest service that defines our brand.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience in hospitality or customer service
  • Familiarity with hotel reservation software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Work experience as a hotel front desk agent, receptionist or similar role
  • Experience with hotel reservations software like Synxis
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking, TripAdvisor, Expedia
  • Customer service attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Degree in hotel management is a plus

Job Duties

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information like contact details and exact dates of their stay
  • Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
  • Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
  • Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
  • Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
