Job Description
Our client is a well-established hospitality provider operating a bustling hotel that caters to travelers from around the world. Renowned for offering exceptional service and a comfortable atmosphere, this hotel prides itself on maintaining high standards and ensuring guest satisfaction at every touchpoint. With a commitment to quality and a reputation for excellence, the company values employees who show dedication, professionalism, and a proactive approach to guest service. This position is full-time with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $11 to $13, reflecting the importance of the role in delivering outstanding experiences to guests.
The open Front Desk Agent position plays a crucial role in the hotel’s guest experience. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for managing check-ins and check-outs efficiently while offering personalized and warm service. Beyond handling reservations and room assignments, the Front Desk Agent must be adept at managing guest inquiries and resolving complaints with tact and professionalism. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations. The agent will also manage financial transactions including room charges and payments using various methods such as cash, debit, and credit cards. Other key duties include coordinating with housekeeping to ensure that rooms are ready for incoming guests and maintaining a clean and organized front desk area and lobby space.
Guests often look to the Front Desk Agent for local information and directions, making the position vital for enhancing guest satisfaction and encouraging repeat visits. Additionally, running daily reports and maintaining accurate records demonstrate the administrative aspect of the position. Safety procedures and guest confidentiality are paramount, necessitating a commitment to company policies and privacy standards. The ideal candidate will have prior experience or a strong inclination towards customer service, be comfortable using standard computer operating systems, and show physical capability when required, such as lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, people-oriented environment and is committed to helping guests have a positive and memorable stay.
