Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hospitality or customer service
  • Basic mathematical skills and proficiency with calculators
  • Strong computer skills including experience with booking systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Must be able to relocate to Jacksonville, FL
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Job Qualifications

  • Work experience as a hotel front desk agent is preferred
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate like Booking and Expedia
  • Customer service attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic formulas
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
  • Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
  • Bilingual English and Spanish

Job Duties

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
  • Register guests collecting necessary information like contact details and exact dates of their stay
  • Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
  • Respond to clients' complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests' needs
  • Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
