Job Description
We are a vibrant and esteemed hospitality establishment specializing in superior food and beverage services, dedicated to creating memorable guest experiences in both banquet and restaurant settings. With a commitment to excellence, our venue is recognized for its blend of elegance, service efficiency, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that caters to a diverse clientele ranging from intimate gatherings to large-scale events. Our team thrives on innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement, fostering an environment where every staff member is empowered to contribute to the highest standards of hospitality.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor position is a pivotal leadership role within our organization, designed for a hands-on leader who excels in supervising, training, and supporting banquet and restaurant staff members. This role focuses on ensuring outstanding guest experiences by emphasizing service excellence, operational efficiency, and effective teamwork. The supervisor acts as a vital link between front-of-house operations and the kitchen, coordinating seamlessly with multiple departments to guarantee that every event and dining service is executed flawlessly.
As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you will lead daily operations for both banquet and restaurant services, ensuring that all activities meet our high standards of quality and guest satisfaction. Your visible presence on the floor will enable you to engage directly with guests, resolve any issues promptly, and model exemplary hospitality standards. You will coordinate closely with various teams including Banquets, Kitchen, and Sales to confirm event details, timings, and setup requirements, ensuring that all equipment, audiovisual systems, and resources are prepared and functional.
An important aspect of this role involves supporting menu implementation by managing updates, printing, and distribution of menus as well as ensuring staff are fully informed about any changes. Supervising food and beverage presentation, service quality, and compliance with safety, sanitation, and alcohol regulations will be part of your key responsibilities to maintain our reputation for excellence and safety.
Training, coaching, and mentoring staff to exceed service expectations form the cornerstone of your leadership duties. You will provide clear expectations, necessary resources, and constructive feedback to promote team engagement and optimal performance. Additionally, handling staff and guest concerns promptly and with professionalism will help maintain a positive and solution-focused work environment. You will also be responsible for administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll review, and tip reconciliation, working alongside the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to manage workforce efficiency and budget controls.
Routine inspections of banquet and restaurant areas to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and presentation are consistent with established standards will fall under your supervision. Managing inventory, completing weekly and monthly orders, and contributing to budget management and cost control efforts will further demonstrate your operational expertise.
Your role will also include designing and maintaining precise signage, labels, and communication materials for menus and events, troubleshooting basic technical and audiovisual issues as necessary, and actively participating in department meetings and cross-functional planning sessions. Assisting with hiring, onboarding, and staff coverage ensures that the team remains robust and well-prepared for all service demands. You will also compile and review weekly specials to keep offerings fresh and appealing.
This position requires a leader who embodies professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm, who delegates effectively while setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable. Strong communication skills, active listening, and constructive conflict management are essential, along with the ability to coach and develop employees using feedback and mentorship. A sound understanding of financial and operational goals, adaptable problem-solving skills, accountability, and maintaining a guest-first mindset are critical attributes for success.
The role accommodates a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced environment with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods. The working environment is primarily indoors but includes occasional outdoor duties subject to weather conditions. Exposure to varying temperatures and surfaces requiring appropriate safety awareness is part of the daily routine. We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $20 to $21, providing an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to advance their career in the food and beverage management field.
