Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of event sales or event planning experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience with hotel and food & beverage operations
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and time management capabilities
- Leadership qualities and team collaboration
- Knowledge of contract negotiation and hotel operations
- Understanding of meeting room and accommodation setups
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of hotel event sales or event planning experience
- Completed Event Management trainee program or comparable experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years hospitality or food & beverage experience preferred
- Proficient in general computer knowledge and programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and confident demeanor
- Highly detail oriented and organized
- Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
- Leadership skills that inspire employees
- Experience in marketing concepts and proposal development
- Understanding of contract negotiation and interpretation
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations including guest services, reservations, housekeeping, audio visual, banquets, accounting, restaurants, and engineering
- Knowledge of meeting room setups and sleeping room configurations
Job Duties
- Execute sales contracts for group events
- Coordinate with meeting planners to manage onsite group experiences
- Plan menus and agendas for banquet food and beverage services
- Review event contracts and ensure clear communication with hotel departments
- Host hotel site tours and client familiarization events
- Maintain strong customer relationships and participate in event and staff meetings
- Manage special VIP requests and hospitality amenities to ensure guest satisfaction
