Job Requirements
- Meet applicable state and federal certification and licensing requirements
- Ability to perform manual labor including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Commitment to safety and security policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Vocational or technical background
- Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration
- Knowledge of exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
Job Duties
- Respond to guest repair requests
- Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
- Visually inspect tools and machines
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment
- Follow safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout system
