Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
  • valid driver’s license
  • at least two years of experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • knowledge of safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout system
  • strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • vocational or technical training
  • ability to work overnight shifts
  • adherence to safety and security policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • vocational or technical background
  • minimum two years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
  • valid driver’s license
  • proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • ability to use hand and power tools safely
  • basic knowledge of pipe repair, including soldering
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to train and mentor others
  • understanding of safety and security protocols
  • knowledge of engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance

Job Duties

  • Respond promptly to guest repair requests
  • communicate effectively with guests to resolve maintenance issues
  • perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines
  • maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts
  • troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • perform cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs
  • use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance
  • carry out surface preparation, painting, drywall, and wood trim repair
  • assist with programming TV’s and general housekeeping duties
  • train and mentor junior engineers
  • perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
  • adhere to all safety and security policies and report hazards
  • maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
  • handle physical demands such as lifting and climbing
  • ensure proper communication between shifts
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested
