As part of Marriott International, a world leader in the hospitality industry, the Renaissance Nashville Hotel offers an upscale experience combining Southern charm with modern amenities. The hotel features elegantly designed guest rooms, versatile meeting spaces, and fine dining options, making it a preferred destination for both business and leisure travelers. With a commitment to delivering superior guest satisfaction through attentive service and maintaining excellent facilities, Renaissance Nashville Hotel emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and professional growth for its employees. The company culture promotes a supportive and inclusive environment where every staff member is valued and encouraged to contribute to the hotel’s success and reputation.

The Engineering and Facilities department at Renaissance Nashville is seeking a Full-Time Engineer III to join their evening shift with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. This non-management position is critical for ensuring all guest repair requests and maintenance needs are addressed promptly and efficiently. The Engineer III will play a vital role in maintaining the functionality and safety of the hotel’s physical infrastructure and equipment. Responsibilities include responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, conducting inspections, and servicing a variety of building systems such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. The role requires proficiency in multiple technical areas including pneumatic and electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and energy conservation measures.

In addition to technical expertise, the Engineer III must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills with minimal supervision while maintaining clear communication with guests and team members. The position entails the safe and skilled use of hand and power tools, basic plumbing repairs including soldering, troubleshooting of pump and motor replacements, and minor drywall and painting tasks. The candidate will also be expected to use engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management. An important duty includes performing mid-level troubleshooting of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, mentoring junior engineers, and fulfilling Engineer on Duty responsibilities. Safety is paramount; adherence to Lockout/Tagout systems, company policies, and safety training is mandatory. The role also involves guest interaction where the engineer is expected to provide friendly, professional service reflective of the Renaissance brand standards.

Evening shift work aligns with operational needs and provides a consistent schedule with two mid-week days off, supporting work-life balance.
