As part of the Marriott International group, Sheraton Dallas offers guests luxury accommodations, state-of-the-art conference facilities, and an inviting environment in the heart of downtown Dallas. The hotel is well known for its exceptional service, premium amenities, and commitment to guest satisfaction, making it a preferred destination for both business and leisure travelers visiting the region. Sheraton Dallas provides career opportunities that allow employees to grow professionally in a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic industry. The hotel prides itself on maintaining high standards in all aspects of operations, including its engineering and maintenance teams which ensure the property remains safe, efficient, and visually appealing at all times. The hotel's dedication to excellence is reflected in its employment practices, offering full-time positions with competitive benefits in a supportive workplace setting.

The Maintenance Technician role at Sheraton Dallas is a critical position focused on ensuring the optimal functioning and appearance of the hotel’s physical facilities. This full-time, non-management position involves responding promptly to guest repair requests and conducting preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room machinery. The role requires a hands-on approach to inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and general building elements. Technicians will be expected to communicate effectively with guests and other team members to resolve maintenance issues, ensuring guest satisfaction and operational continuity.

Key responsibilities include performing surface preparation and painting, handling minor drywall and wood trim repairs, replacing light bulbs and air conditioning filters, and troubleshooting electrical components such as lamps and switches. The position calls for proficiency in programming televisions, using computer systems to update air handler schedules, and managing maintenance inventories. Safety is paramount, and the technician must adhere to company safety protocols like the Lockout/Tagout system, proper storage of flammable materials, and participation in safety training. The role also involves some landscaping duties including the maintenance of sprinkler systems. Physical activity is an essential part of the job, involving lifting, carrying, and movement over various terrains and heights. Overall, this position is vital to maintaining the quality and performance standards that Sheraton Dallas is known for, requiring a combination of technical skills, customer service orientation, and teamwork. Candidates with a high school diploma or GED, relevant maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license are encouraged to apply. Previous hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not mandatory. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a stable, full-time job within a renowned hospitality company committed to employee development and guest excellence.
