Our culinary team is central to our operation, and we are committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety across all kitchen areas. We continuously strive to create a workplace that encourages professional growth and teamwork among our staff.
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Hotel Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves supporting multiple kitchen functions such as prep work, banquet production, and a la carte line cooking. The ideal candidate will have solid foundational cooking skills and be comfortable multitasking in a high-volume environment. As a Hotel Cook, you will play an essential role in ensuring the consistency and quality of the dishes served to our guests while meeting strict food safety and sanitation standards. This position is hourly and offers a competitive wage of $16 per hour with opportunities for growth within our hospitality group.
The Hotel Cook will be responsible for executing daily prep tasks such as butchering, portioning, and marinating proteins and vegetables. You will prepare various sauces, stocks, and soups while managing proper storage and labeling to maintain kitchen efficiency. Your duties will also include producing large-volume meals for banquet events, coordinating closely with banquet staff to ensure timely service, and maintaining the presentation and quality standards expected at our establishment.
On the line, you will operate assigned cooking stations including sauté, grill, fry, and cold stations during meal service periods. Attention to detail, communication with the expo and fellow cooks, and maintaining station cleanliness are critical components of your daily responsibilities. Additionally, adherence to health department regulations and internal food safety protocols is mandatory. This includes monitoring food temperatures, following allergen protocols, and keeping your work area organized.
The role requires flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of our hospitality business. You will have opportunities to participate in menu tastings, training sessions, and kitchen meetings designed to enhance team collaboration and culinary skills. Reporting equipment issues or supply shortages promptly will also be part of your responsibilities to help maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Joining our team means becoming part of a professional culinary environment that values quality, efficiency, and collaboration. If you are passionate about cooking, thrive under pressure, and enjoy working with a team towards common goals, this Hotel Cook position offers a great opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career in a reputable hotel setting.
