The role of Chief Engineer/Facility Maintenance Manager at Hilton Garden Inn Seattle North/Everett is a critical leadership position responsible for the upkeep, safety, and operation of all physical assets of the hotel. This includes managing the exterior and interior facilities such as HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical infrastructure, general equipment, and brand life safety programs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 1 year of hotel experience
  • Knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
  • Experience with pool and hot tub maintenance and chemical management
  • Availability to respond to emergency calls onsite within 20 minutes
  • Ability to work during holidays with compensatory time off
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft office and technology tools

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or 5 years related experience or training
  • At least 1 year of hotel experience in a compatible hotel environment
  • Enhanced knowledge and skills in plumbing, HVAC operations, programming door locks, and handyman repairs
  • Adequate knowledge in operating swimming pool and hot tub with 100% compliance with county requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools and technology to improve productivity
  • Highly motivated and self-starting leadership skills
  • Detail-oriented to ensure tasks are completed correctly on the first attempt

Job Duties

  • Maintaining the entire hotel facility including physical building structure, grounds, mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and related equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
  • Monitoring life safety systems and utilities to ensure compliance with corporate, franchise, and local regulations
  • Responding onsite within 20 minutes to emergency calls 24/7
  • Complying with Hilton and management company standards and completing assigned tasks
  • Managing indoor pool and hot tub chemical readings and adjustments
  • Completing additional duties assigned by the General Manager
