The Kitchen Supervisor role at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is a vital position responsible for overseeing all outlet kitchen team members in preparing, cooking, and presenting food consistently in accordance with hotel standards. The role focuses on ensuring guest satisfaction through the creation of high-quality food products while strictly adhering to the Southern Nevada Health District’s rules and regulations. The successful candidate will support the chefs and cooks across 18+ hotel venues, collaborating efficiently to maintain a consistent food program that meets the resort's high-quality standards.
This role requires hands-on leadership to manage day-to-day kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, scheduling staff, and maintaining control over food costs and quality. The Kitchen Supervisor will also ensure that all food storage and handling procedures, including temperature control and rotation, comply with health regulations. Additionally, the position demands active involvement in staff training, supervision, and performance reviews along with maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. Job Requirements
- Ability to supervise kitchen operations and staff
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment, including ovens and fryers
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in hot, noisy, and fast-paced environments
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Manual dexterity for using knives and kitchen tools
- Ability to adjust staffing levels as needed
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of management experience
- Prior multi-outlet leadership preferred
- Experience in high-volume, 4-5 star level restaurants
- Proficient in food handling and preparation techniques
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
- ServSafe Food Manager Certification desirable
Job Duties
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with daily operations across multiple hotel venues
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products
- Provide outstanding guest service to ensure satisfaction
- Write recipes and maintain inventory
- Schedule staff while maintaining labor cost control
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations
- Report and follow up on equipment repair needs
