Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older
  • Previous bartending or mixology experience
  • RBS certification
  • Food handler certification or ability to obtain
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Positive and outgoing personality

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a bartender or mixologist (hotel or high-volume bar preferred)
  • Must be 21+ years of age (required to serve alcohol in California)
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits
  • Experience with POS systems (Micros preferred)
  • RBS certification (required)
  • Food handler certification (required or ability to obtain)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate with guests in English (bilingual skills a plus)
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented with a positive, outgoing personality

Job Duties

  • Prepare, mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to brand standards
  • Provide exceptional guest service in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner
  • Take orders, make recommendations, and upsell beverages to enhance the guest experience
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar at all times
  • Operate Micros POS system (order entry, check presentation, payment processing)
  • Ensure compliance with California liquor laws and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) standards
  • Monitor guest behavior and refuse service when appropriate (intoxication/minors)
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menu items, drink recipes, and daily specials
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide prompt, attentive service—even during busy periods
  • Promote a positive guest experience by being knowledgeable about hotel services and local attractions
  • Assist with monthly inventory and bar organization
