Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous bartending experience preferred
  • valid responsible alcohol service certification
  • ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • basic math skills for cash handling
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • compliance with local and state alcohol laws

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a bartender preferably in a hotel or high-volume environment
  • in-depth knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
  • valid responsible alcohol service certification such as TIPS or state equivalent
  • exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • proficient cash handling abilities
  • experience working with major hotel brands such as Choice, IHG, or Marriott is a bonus

Job Duties

  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to brand standards
  • take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
  • handle cash and credit transactions with proper procedures
  • maintain cleanliness, organization, and full stocking of the bar area
  • conduct accurate inventory counts and assist in stock level reporting
  • adhere to all safety and sanitation policies
  • strictly comply with all state and local alcohol serving regulations including age verification and responsible service
  • engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner and make menu recommendations
  • maintain a welcoming and lively bar atmosphere
  • address minor guest concerns promptly and courteously
  • ensure security of cash bank and all sales transactions during the shift
