This job opening is for a Catering Event Staff member responsible for the complete set-up, service, and clean-up of catering events within Knott's Berry Farm. The role is pivotal in creating memorable experiences for guests by delivering timely, courteous, and professional service during private and public catering events. Employees in this position will work closely with the banquet team leaders and managers to ensure that all event aspects are executed following the established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).

The position pays $16.90 per hour and requires individuals who can transport large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through crowded environments with ease and endurance throughout their shift. This job demands a keen eye for detail, responsibility for cleanliness and equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety and chemical usage protocols. The Catering Event Staff will be required to perform a variety of duties including completing table and room set-ups, serving food and beverages as specified by event orders, maintaining cleanliness in guest and service areas, and enforcing policies related to alcohol consumption during events.

Candidates must exhibit excellent communication skills, especially the ability to communicate effectively in English with guests and team members. This role also demands flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with a preference for those available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays to accommodate peak business periods. A California Food Handler's Card is a mandatory requirement, ensuring that the candidate is knowledgeable about food safety and sanitation requirements.
