Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience within the hospitality industry preferred
  • ability to communicate in English
  • ability to count
  • ability to read and write legibly
  • ability to work cohesively with others
  • familiar with sanitation regulations and chemical handling
  • ability to work independently and under pressure
  • physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25-60 lbs, kneel, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, climb ladders and stairs
  • good visual and hearing ability
  • ability to follow instructions and perform cleaning duties thoroughly
  • available to work fluctuating hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and areas after each guest vacates
  • dusting and polishing furniture, woodwork, light fixtures, and ceiling fans
  • sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and shampooing carpets as needed
  • organizing and restocking guest amenities such as soap, shampoo, lotion, coffee, tea supplies, and stationery
  • changing linens and towels by removing soiled items and replacing them with clean ones
  • removing waste from wastebaskets and ashtrays and disposing of it properly following health and safety regulations
  • maintaining cleanliness of all dining utensils by using industrial dishwasher and hand polishing
  • ensuring cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas including appliances
  • assisting with food storage, rotation, preparation, including salads, grilling, garnishing, and seasoning dishes
