The Assistant General Manager role at SREE Hotels' TownePlace Suites by Marriott Charlotte LoSo Airport hotel is a dynamic leadership position designed for individuals passionate about hospitality and operational excellence. This position requires a hands-on leader who promotes the company and brand standards, ensuring that all aspects of the hotel’s operations meet or exceed expectations. The Assistant General Manager will play a critical role in managing the daily operations, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, staff training, and financial performance. Key responsibilities include interviewing and onboarding new employees, coaching and mentoring staff, scheduling shifts to balance guest service with profitability, managing revenue through effective yield strategies, and ensuring compliance with brand standards. This role also involves conducting thorough inspections of the property to maintain cleanliness and address maintenance issues promptly. The incumbent will interact directly with guests to resolve complaints and uphold the hotel’s reputation for exceptional service.

In addition to operational duties, the Assistant General Manager supports financial processes such as processing daily deposits and managing accounts receivable. Job Requirements

  • Marriott brand experience preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide vision for the staff by promoting company and brand standards
  • interview, hire and onboard new staff to meet the highest levels of guest service
  • ensure new associates participate in new-hire orientation and all associates receive proper job-related training as well as ongoing training
  • schedule staff for appropriate levels of service that drive guest satisfaction while maintaining profitability
  • fill in as needed when staffing levels are limited due to unexpected surges in occupancy, inclement weather, call outs or other unforeseen reasons
  • coach and mentor staff to facilitate high associate satisfaction
  • process daily deposits and make collection calls to customers with direct billing approval
  • identify and take action to drive incremental revenue during high demand times through effective yield management
  • conduct daily and weekly inspections of the entire facility and work with other department leaders to address cleanliness and maintenance issues timely and effectively
  • review daily audit reports for accuracy and investigate any irregularities
  • provide feedback to staff during meetings about guest survey scores, associate survey scores, financial goals/budgets, and operational issues to facilitate understanding and improvement
  • interact with guests to resolve complaints to their satisfaction
