Job Description
McPeake Hotels, Inc. is a locally owned and family-led leader in hospitality management, recognized for its commitment to excellence in service and innovative hotel operations. The company specializes in managing hotels that provide exceptional guest experiences, setting itself apart in the highly competitive hospitality industry through its dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. McPeake Hotels continues to grow and evolve, ensuring that they maintain the highest standards within the hospitality sector. Their management philosophy focuses on creating welcoming environments where guests feel valued and employees are empowered to contribute meaningfully to the guest experience.
We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Assistant Hotel Manager to join our dynamic team at the brand-new Courtyard by Marriott located in Aberdeen. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $40,000 to $50,000 per year and is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about hospitality to advance their careers. The Assistant Hotel Manager will play a critical role in supporting the Hotel Manager with overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth workflows, and delivering outstanding service to every guest who walks through our doors.
The role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach, as you will be responsible for supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and maintaining open communication with both the General Manager and hotel ownership. Beyond administrative oversight, the Assistant Hotel Manager acts as a role model, setting clear expectations for performance and behavior, and coaching the team to meet and exceed hotel standards. Operational duties include managing inventory, maintaining cash counts, assisting with budget oversight, and enforcing security protocol. This is a hands-on position where you will sometimes step in to lead by example, ensuring that every department runs efficiently and that guest satisfaction is consistently high.
In addition to team leadership and operational management, the Assistant Hotel Manager ensures compliance with brand and ownership standards, actively resolves guest and staff issues, and anticipates challenges to maintain a superior guest experience. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for hospitality will find this role challenging yet highly rewarding. Whether you have prior experience in hotel management or related fields, joining McPeake Hotels means becoming part of a family-led company that values innovation, quality, and the development of its team members.
