The role of Hotel Accounting Manager at First Hospitality plays a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy and integrity across the company’s hotel operations. This position requires a detail-oriented and data-driven individual who is adept at handling multiple transactions while ensuring meticulous organization of financial data. The accounting manager’s key responsibility is to produce timely and precise accounting reports that align with both company standards and general accounting principles. Daily tasks include overseeing invoice coding and processing, completing month-end accounting processes, reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and collaborating with various hotel teams to resolve any accounting challenges that arise. In addition, the role supports the audit process by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Success in this role demands strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and clear communication to effectively engage with team members and external stakeholders. Job Requirements
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with hotels or property management
- 4-year degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent education and experience
- exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including electronic communication
- advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- must be able to speak, read, and write in primary language used in the workplace
- 8+ hours per day sitting at desk/computer
- manual dexterity and repetitive motions required throughout workday
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with hotels or property management

Job Duties
- Work with Accounts Payable team to ensure hotel invoices are correctly coded and processed
- complete month-end accounting closing process
- support and engage with hotel teams to identify and resolve accounting challenges, monthly financials, and other research and financial analysis
- prepare month end account reconciliation and accounting work reports
- manage weekly payables check runs and aging reports
- assist managing audits by providing audit schedules, data requests, and auditor inquiries
- comply with local, state, and federal laws and guidelines and with company policy
- always maintain professionalism consistent with company expectations
