Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of previous cooking experience
  • Familiarity with cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow recipes and plate presentations
  • Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe required or must be obtained upon hire
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to moderate weight
  • Team player with positive attitude and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure
  • Passion for cooking and delivering high-quality food

Job Qualifications

  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and plate presentations

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner services on the hot line (e.g., grill, sauté, broiler, fryer)
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the hotel or Executive Chef
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment
  • Ensure all food is prepared to proper temperature and quality standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies prior to service
  • Work in coordination with the culinary team and service staff to ensure timely and smooth meal service
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of banquet or special event menus as needed
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
  • Monitor and minimize food waste, reporting shortages or equipment issues to supervisors
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by leadership
