Job Requirements

  • Six months of fast food production or kitchen food production experience
  • Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and numbers
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • Willingness to help in multiple kitchen areas
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • Comply with organizational policies and procedures

  • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in fast food or kitchen production

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot food items according to recipes and production plans
  • Assist in tray assembly and preparation of special diet needs such as puree meals and supplements
  • Follow food service sanitation and infection control procedures, adhering to HACCP guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with Executive Chef, Food & Nutrition Supervisor, and kitchen team about patient and departmental needs
  • Assist in other kitchen areas including cold prep, bakery, storeroom, café serving line, dish room, or tray line as needed
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance according to Orlando Health policies
  • Comply with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
