Job Requirements
- Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
- Six months of fast food production or kitchen food production experience
- Willingness to work variable shifts including until midnight when scheduled for second shift
- Must adhere to all food safety guidelines including HAACP
- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with hospital policies
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to respond to common customer inquiries or complaints
- Six months of fast food production or kitchen food production experience
- Restaurant experience preferred, including establishments like Olive Garden, Texas Roadhouse, or Chili's
Job Duties
- Assists as needed in tray assembly
- Prepares special diet needs including puree meals and supplements
- Knows basic food preparation techniques including receiving, storing, preparation and holding of food items
- Demonstrates knowledge of food service sanitation
- Practices infection control procedures
- Communicates patient, non-patient, or department needs to leadership
- Helps in other kitchen areas such as cold prep, bakery, storeroom, serving line, dish room, or tray line
- Maintains regular attendance and punctuality
- Participates in departmental quality assurance and improvement activities
- Observes departmental rules and regulations
- Follows proper portion controls and menu preparation
- Prepares meat roasting charts, temperature logs, and leftover logs as needed
