Job Requirements

  • 1 year of previous kitchen experience

  • Possess or be willing to obtain a Food Handler's card within 7 days of hire
  • Finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery, knives, etc.
  • Ability to withstand changes in temperature, occasional smoke, steam and heat and work in a confined area
  • Ability to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable bending, reaching, and moving quickly
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to speak or understand Spanish a plus although not required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of previous kitchen experience

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently cook pasta, sauces, and other hot food products
  • Prepare and portion food products prior to cooking
  • Be responsible for daily operations of the hot line and general kitchen cleaning
  • Know and comply consistently with standard recipes, portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen procedures
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period
  • Keep kitchen clean and organized including the walk-in
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty
