Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- minimum of one year closely related cooking experience
- experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
- ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods
- frequently immerse hands in water and work with chemical solutions
- work with sharp utensils and hot plates
- work in hot environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of closely related cooking experience
- knowledge of food preparation and HACCP standards
- ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- comfortable conversing with customers
- familiarity with soups, saute, broiler, fry and pantry stations
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, communicate ticket times and potential problems to management and servers, provide high quality service to customers and associates, clean and sanitize workstations and equipment, practice excellent food safety and sanitation including HACCP standards, operate kitchen equipment, measure and mix ingredients, wash, peel, cut and shred fruits and vegetables, stock, date, rotate and check temperature of products
