Job Requirements
- Food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- minimum 1 year of cooking experience in high volume or fast casual dining preferred
- knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry food items
- ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- ability to bend, twist and stand for extended periods
- ability to frequently immerse hands in water and handle hot and sharp objects
- willingness to work in hot environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- minimum of 1 year of related cooking experience
- knowledge of food preparation techniques pertaining to soups, sautés, broiler, fry, and pantry
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- understanding of HACCP food safety standards
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- cook and season a variety of food items including soups, meats, vegetables, desserts
- taste products to ensure quality and consistency
- estimate food requirements and maintain production records
- clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
- practice excellent food safety and sanitation standards compliant with HACCP
- operate various kitchen equipment
- measure, mix ingredients and prepare fruits and vegetables
- stock, date, rotate and check product temperature
