This position is an hourly, non-exempt role offering a competitive base wage of $16.90 per hour plus tips. The role is positioned as an entry-level Servers Assistant, responsible for contributing to the guest experience by supporting servers and the entire dining team through a variety of customer service functions. Successful candidates will be part of a dynamic team, engaging directly with customers to create AUS-SOME dining experiences through genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and teamwork.

As a Servers Assistant at Outback Steakhouse, you will be the face of the restaurant in the lobby and dining areas, making memorable first and last impressions on guests with a welcoming smile and helpful attitude. Your duties will include greeting and seating guests in the dining and bar areas, managing waitlists with a sense of urgency, and ensuring smooth transitions between host and server teams. Supporting the dining room team by busing tables, clearing and resetting dining spaces, delivering food and beverages to tables, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards will also be critical. You will need to have a working knowledge of the menu to engage with guests effectively and provide product recommendations and upsells.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing, walking, and physical activities such as bending and lifting up to 30 pounds. Candidates must be able to operate efficiently in both hot and cold conditions and comply with all food safety, sanitation, and job safety policies. Phone handling and call direction are part of the responsibilities, emphasizing excellent communication skills.
