Job Requirements

Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
Able to work in hot and cold environments
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
Visual ability including distance, close, color, depth and peripheral
Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role preferred but not required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Positive attitude and a friendly, approachable demeanor
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities

Job Duties

Makes memorable first and last impressions with a smile
Greets incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
Seats guests in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
Coordinates wait times and seats guests with a sense of urgency
Has genuine conversations with guests and maintains a positive attitude
Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as needed
Commits to food safety, cleanliness, job safety, and sanitation standards
Busses tables, delivers food, and supports the dining room to enhance guest experience
Has general knowledge of the food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
Answers the phone promptly and professionally and directs calls
Leads the lobby experience for each guest, following Outback hospitality standards
Assists guests and servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean dining environment
