Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
  • Able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
  • Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
  • Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Visual ability including distance, close, color, depth and peripheral

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Makes memorable first and last impressions with a smile
  • Greets incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
  • Seats guests in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
  • Coordinates wait times and seats guests with a sense of urgency
  • Has genuine conversations with guests and maintains a positive attitude
  • Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as needed
  • Commits to food safety, cleanliness, job safety, and sanitation standards
  • Busses tables, delivers food, and supports the dining room to enhance guest experience
  • Has general knowledge of the food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
  • Answers the phone promptly and professionally and directs calls
  • Leads the lobby experience for each guest, following Outback hospitality standards
  • Assists guests and servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean dining environment
