Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry or move up to 30 lbs
- Able to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting and stooping
- Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils and technology systems
- Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Visual ability including distance, close, color, depth and peripheral
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Successful completion of Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality role preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Positive attitude and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
Job Duties
- Makes memorable first and last impressions with a smile
- Greets incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
- Seats guests in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
- Coordinates wait times and seats guests with a sense of urgency
- Has genuine conversations with guests and maintains a positive attitude
- Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as needed
- Commits to food safety, cleanliness, job safety, and sanitation standards
- Busses tables, delivers food, and supports the dining room to enhance guest experience
- Has general knowledge of the food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
- Answers the phone promptly and professionally and directs calls
- Leads the lobby experience for each guest, following Outback hospitality standards
- Assists guests and servers by serving food and beverages, clearing and resetting tables, and maintaining a clean dining environment
