Job Requirements
- Ability to lift and or move up to 30 lbs
- Able to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods while performing essential job duties
- Responsible Beverage Service Certifications required for all California based positions (can be completed during training up to 60 days after start date)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)
- Willingness to comply with Outback Steakhouse's drug and alcohol policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience beneficial but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is a plus
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Outback Steakhouse's service standards
- Friendly and approachable personality with a genuine desire to provide excellent guest experiences
Job Duties
- Making a memorable first and last impression
- Greeting incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
- Seating guests in dining and bar areas and ensuring smooth handoff to service staff
- Coordinating wait and seating guests with urgency
- Engaging in genuine conversations with guests and maintaining a positive demeanor
- Demonstrating general knowledge of food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
- Answering phones promptly and professionally and directing calls
- Assisting throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and beverages, and supporting team efforts
- Leading the lobby experience in accordance with Outback hospitality standards
- Committing to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during shifts
