Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and or move up to 30 lbs
  • Able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods while performing essential job duties
  • Responsible Beverage Service Certifications required for all California based positions (can be completed during training up to 60 days after start date)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)
  • Willingness to comply with Outback Steakhouse's drug and alcohol policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience beneficial but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is a plus
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Outback Steakhouse's service standards
  • Friendly and approachable personality with a genuine desire to provide excellent guest experiences

Job Duties

  • Making a memorable first and last impression
  • Greeting incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
  • Seating guests in dining and bar areas and ensuring smooth handoff to service staff
  • Coordinating wait and seating guests with urgency
  • Engaging in genuine conversations with guests and maintaining a positive demeanor
  • Demonstrating general knowledge of food and drink menu to recommend and upsell products
  • Answering phones promptly and professionally and directing calls
  • Assisting throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and beverages, and supporting team efforts
  • Leading the lobby experience in accordance with Outback hospitality standards
  • Committing to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during shifts
