Joining the Outback family as a Host/Server Assistant means becoming part of a team that prioritizes exceptional guest experiences and career growth. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy engaging with people, working in a dynamic environment, and contributing to memorable dining moments. The Host/Server Assistant is responsible for creating a welcoming first and last impression, ensuring guests feel valued and attended to from the moment they arrive until their departure. The position requires a genuine passion for hospitality, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage guest seating efficiently while maintaining a positive and upbeat demeanor.
In this role, you will be the face of the restaurant, greeting guests warmly, managing wait times with a sense of urgency, and seating guests strategically to facilitate smooth service. An essential part of the job includes having a good understanding of the food and drink menu to provide recommendations and upsell items that enhance the dining experience. Additionally, the Host/Server Assistant plays a supportive role by assisting the service team through bussing tables, delivering food and beverages, and addressing guest needs throughout their visit. As a vital member of the Outback team, you will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and friendly environment that aligns with the restaurant's high standards for food safety and customer service.
This is a position that offers a blend of enjoyment and career opportunity, ideal for those seeking a role that values both fun and professional development. Outback Steakhouse also values work-life balance, closing on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day to allow employees to spend time with family and friends. Benefits for eligible employees include health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, and meal compensation benefits, ensuring that team members are well supported both on and off the job.
Outback Steakhouse is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants of all backgrounds without discrimination.
