Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
  • Able to work in hot and cold environments
  • Ability to walk, stand, or bend for long periods while performing essential duties
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification required for California positions (can be completed during training or within 60 days after start date)
  • Must comply with drug and alcohol policies
  • Must complete Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify)
  • Must be able to provide excellent customer service with a genuine smile and friendly demeanor

Job Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of food and drink menus
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Responsible Beverage Service certification for California positions

Job Duties

  • Making a memorable first and last impression
  • Greeting incoming and departing guests in a welcoming manner
  • Seating guests in the dining and bar areas while ensuring a smooth handoff to service staff
  • Coordinating the wait and seating guests with a sense of urgency
  • Always smiling and having genuine conversations with guests
  • Having a general knowledge of the food and drink menu and recommending and upselling products
  • Answering the phone in a prompt and professional manner and directing calls
  • Assisting throughout the restaurant by bussing tables, delivering food and bar beverages, assisting with guests, and ensuring all customer opportunities are completed
  • Leading the lobby experience for each guest following Outback hospitality standards
  • Committing to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift
