Job Requirements

  • prior experience in a host or guest service role preferably in upscale casual or fine dining
  • excellent verbal communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to multitask effectively
  • friendly, polished, and professional appearance
  • ability to remain calm under pressure
  • flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • familiarity with reservation software preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests with warmth and professionalism as they arrive
  • manage reservations and waitlists using reservation software
  • maintain an organized and efficient seating chart to ensure timely table turnover
  • communicate with servers and managers regarding table availability and guest needs
  • escort guests to their tables and provide menus
  • answer phone calls, take to-go orders and provide accurate information about the restaurant
  • monitor guest satisfaction and provide prompt assistance when needed
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entry area
  • support team members during peak service periods
  • ensure all guests leave with a positive impression
