Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in a host or guest service role preferably in upscale casual or fine dining
excellent verbal communication skills
strong organizational skills
ability to multitask effectively
friendly, polished, and professional appearance
ability to remain calm under pressure
flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
familiarity with reservation software preferred

Job Duties

Greet all guests with warmth and professionalism as they arrive
manage reservations and waitlists using reservation software
maintain an organized and efficient seating chart to ensure timely table turnover
communicate with servers and managers regarding table availability and guest needs
escort guests to their tables and provide menus
answer phone calls, take to-go orders and provide accurate information about the restaurant
monitor guest satisfaction and provide prompt assistance when needed
maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entry area
support team members during peak service periods
ensure all guests leave with a positive impression
