Job Description
Outback Steakhouse is a renowned Australian-themed restaurant franchise known for its unique approach to dining and its dedication to customer satisfaction. Since its inception in March of 1988, Outback Steakhouse has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality food with a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The franchise is proud to cultivate a culture of respect, camaraderie, and enthusiasm among its team members, known affectionately as "Outbackers." This culture is centered on the belief that treating people "Just Right" leads to success. At Outback Steakhouse, every guest is treated like they are welcomed into a friend’s home, ensuring a memorable dining experience that extends beyond just the meal.
As a franchisee of Outback Steakhouse, we are committed to carrying forward this tradition by employing staff who embody the spirit of dedication, fun, and friendliness. Our establishment values teamwork and strives to support the professional growth and success of every team member through comprehensive training and opportunities to excel. We believe that a positive work environment and a focus on delivering excellent customer service are the keys to our ongoing success.
The Host/Server Assistant position at Outback Steakhouse is a pivotal role that directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall dining experience. This position involves greeting guests warmly and ensuring they are comfortably seated in both dining and bar areas, creating an inviting and smooth start to their visit. Unlike traditional roles with rigid guidelines, this role embraces the "No Rules, Just Right" philosophy, encouraging team members to take initiative and make things happen when it comes to meeting customer needs.
In addition to welcoming guests, the Host/Server Assistant must be knowledgeable about the food and beverage offerings, with the ability to recommend and upsell menu items tailored to customer preferences. The role also requires managing wait times with hospitality by offering beverages or food tastings as appropriate, keeping guests engaged and comfortable. Handling phone calls professionally and directing them efficiently is also an essential part of the role.
This position is not confined to a single duty; it requires a team player mindset. The Host/Server Assistant will assist in bussing tables, delivering food and beverages, supporting servers, and ensuring that every opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service is seized. Safety, cleanliness, and adherence to food handling and sanitation standards are paramount in this role. Joining Outback Steakhouse means becoming part of a friendly, dynamic environment where teamwork and enthusiasm are the cornerstones of daily operations.
Outback Steakhouse is an Equal Opportunity Employer and always welcomes applications from dedicated individuals who are passionate about helping the restaurant succeed and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere for both guests and team members alike.
